I believe I should be 7 weeks pregnant now. However, my doctor had told me that the pregnancy is not a viable one because the hcg is not rising as expected. I was taking progesterone pill (prometrium), then my doctor told me to stop that it might just prolong the miscarry. I started bleeding at 5 weeks and it lasted for 9 days. I took the pregnancy test this past sunday and today again and is still positive. Do i still have a chance of having a healthy pregnancy? I need your advice here. By the way, after the bleeding I stopped experiencing tender/sore breast.

Lollipop, that's a tough decision. Do you really want to carry a pregnancy to term that the body is signalling may have problems? Do you know that slow rise in hcg is one of the diagnostics for ectopic pregnancy - serious pain in the next few weeks will send that to the ER. The doctor is probably right. You could ask for another hcg test and an ultrasound to see if ether changes the prognosis.

Thank you grandpa Viv. I did an ultrasound and the pregnancy was in the uterus. However, I went for another Hcg test today and it has dropped to 32 from 820. I guess, it has miscarried eventually. I pray for a healthy pregnancy the next time. I am really looking forward to being a mom.
