Here is my situation: I am on the NuvaRing. During my ring free week, on the second to last day of my period, April 5, I had unprotected s_x with my boyfriend. Now, I'm supposed to start the ring on Mondays, but I couldn't get to the pharmacy in time on Monday. Monday night, April 7, I had s_x but used a condom. I started the ring on Tuesday. I had s_x (with a condom) on April 12, the next Saturday. Now, I am supposed to use condoms for 7 days after putting the ring if I'm late. So on Monday the 14 (I was fertile during this time) I had s_x without a condom. Four times, actually. I freaked out and got Plan B the next day because I wasn't sure if Monday or Tuesday counted for 7 days. I then had unprotected s_x on Friday the 18th, the day after I was supposed to be ovulating.
It is the 23rd now, and I'm due to have my period on May 1. However, because I started the ring late and I took Plan B, I know my period will be messed up in ways I don't know yet. I have taken Plan B before and it does usually make me have a much worse period...so that's what I think (hope) these cramps are. I think my chances are slim, but I wanted to get your input because I'm not sure what the side effects are of all that. Thoughts?

I'm hoping the Tuesday ring was sufficient to protect you for the month. You have the PlanB story right. Weird cramps about now could be a sign of pregnancy. Run a home preg test the day your period is due and another a week later if need be. Please let us know the outcome.

Thanks -- I will. I don't think it's likely, do you? Because I shouldn't have fertile the first time since it was the end of the period, and the ring should have been effective after 7 days.
I don't know, though. Scares are never fun.
