do you think the cord can pulsate in the uterus if it had pressure of something and we would be able to feel it pressed up against the uterus?

I don't really know. Are you sure it's not just your baby's hiccups you're feeling?

If you are feeling your pulse in your abdomen it is a very normal occurance, especially during pregnancy. It can feel quite strong at times. It happens to me all the time. It can be quite annoying.

If you can feel it that strong then you can count how many times per minute. If it is over 120 then it could be the baby's heartbeat. A woman's heartrate will increase while pregnant so it can also go over 100 at times. We have a very large vessel that runs through our abdomen called the aorta and it can beat a lot harder while pregnant due to the extra fluid we carry around 50% more while pregnant. The heart has to work a lot harder to move all this fluid around so at times we will feel it beating a lot harder, especially in our abdomen.

I have the exact same thing thats been happening to me, I feel a pulse and I think its the baby's heart beat? I don't know I didn't have a chance to ask the doctor. It scares me a bit...I think the baby is stressed or something any other rea__suring comments would be appreciated.
