Strange Circumstances Any Advice Appreciated

Last period began september 3rd, 2010. That night had a tampon in and forgot it was there. Had s_x accidentally with it in. Found it two days later (sorry tmi). Period lasted until that thursday. Didn't have s_x anymore that month. Around 21st of august had two days of light bleeding. Highly unusual for me. Regular period was supposed to start on the 30th of august, give or take a couple of days. Now I am eight days late with several negative pregnancy tests and no symptoms of pregnancy. Is there a chance I could still be pregnant or am I stressing myself out making my period delayed? Or could the "missing tampon" have damaged something causing my period to be late?

Hmm. No early pregnancy signs, only s_x on CD1 (way outside fertile window), eight days late with negative tests. There are no flags shouting "pregnant" here. The missing tampon or some other upset must have thrown your cycle off. GL!
