Very Late And Short Period?

I am very very confused. My periods have always been regular; my cycle lasting about 30 days with my period always lasting around 7 days. This month my cycle lasted 42 days! I took 2 pregnancy tests after I noticed being 5/6 days late and both came out negative. I waited another week to see if bleeding would happen and on the 42nd day, I took another pregnancy test that came out negative. I was relieved to have started bleeding but it's very irregular? Usually my first day of my period is relatively light with major cramping, the second and third days being my most heavy, and then the blood slowing down for the remainder of my period. But this period I started out really heavy on the first day and by the second night my bleeding was really light. On the third day there was still some light bleeding but then that was it! Is it possible that I'm pregnant? Or could there be other factors that could cause such an irregular period?
