End Of My Rope

I have a great family we all get along and ran into a little money so we started pursuing looking for a house . We tried everything we could for two years and in our search ended up buying a home 3 hours from work so I commute back and stay all week long . Well I am just sick of being seperated from my family and at the end of my rope .It has been a year and a half of daily phone tag . I want to be there with them and for them and I also have a baby coming soon so my wife really needs my support and help and I really havn't been here for them as much as I used too. The deal was so good I didn't want to pass it up but have found it to be so expensive traveling we have nothing left . I know if I give up on this house it will be back to renting permanently and that would not be any cheaper . Should I hold on to this house tightly or let go and bring the family back to where the job is ? I could look for work close to home and just give up on the job I enjoy and have been with for many years . I hope this all makes sense . Any veiw or advice would be appreciated.

Why not rent your current family home out and with the income from that you and your family can rent a house closer to work and all be together. You will still be a homeowner and who knows in a couple of years you may find an even better job closer to the home you own and then you will be able to move back in.

Thankyou Ais , I've been thinking about that . It might be worth a try . Around here the realistate is cheap many houses go up for sale and can be on the market for a very long time . Renting can be tough too although I've never tried I guess I'm just worried that it could take a long time to rent out but thankyou it is a good idea .

If your worried it may take a long time to rent out advertise it in the local newspapers and on shop boards and maybe even in the church newsletter. I am an estate agent and know that sometimes it can take a little longer for certain properties to rent but believe me they also do in the end. I wish you the best of luck with your decision. When is your wife due your baby?

2 things you can do either try to sell and then with the money from the sale you could use that money for a down payment on a home that is closer to where you work, or you could find a new job closer to where you live. If you decide to rent your current home out you wil be in the same situation meaning you will probably be renting. If you do rent out I would be very careful who you rent it out to. I've been in the real estate business for years and I have rental property so take it from me. Do your home work on the rental laws in your state. Do a background check on your tenants, call their references. Take pictures and inventory of your home before you rent. Do a walk through with the people you will rent to. I hope this helps. Good luck to you.

Have you tried looking for a HUD foreclosure?

Thankyou everyone . This is our first home so I am not too smart . I'm not sure what a HUD foreclosure is . We did this thing on our own we just couldn'nt find a loan anywhere .
