3 Month Old Will Only Sleep In His Swing

This started when he was about 2 months old. He wouldn't sleep! My doctor suggested we try his swing we swaddled him and stuck him in there and he slept for 6 hours! It's been working well but just recently he has started waking up earlier, and earlier, and now he wont even go down! He will sleep in my arms but as soon as I put him down he's up! I don't know if he's starting to get uncomfortable in the swing or what but I've decided I want to get him in his crib. I have no idea how to even begin. How to you get a baby who's been sleeping while swinging all night to move to a crib that's NOT swinging??? Anyone who's been through this I welcome any advice!!
