MY BABY LOVES TO SLEEP ON HIS STOMACH BUT THE PROBLEM IS BABIES HAVE TO SLEEP ON THEIR BACK, WHEN I TURN HIM ON HIS BACK HE WAKES UP AND CRIES....I AM SO TIRED BECAUSE I CAN'T GET ANY SLEEP BECAUSE I AM WATCHING HIM WHILE HE SLEEPS ON HIS STOMACH.

does he roll over on his own? when my daughter first started rolling over she only wanted to sleep on her belly the dr. said that it is ok becuse she rolled herself over otherwise you could get one of those side sleep wedges and see if he will sleep on his side (it has a wedge on each side so he cant roll over to his belly)

NO HE DOESN'T ROLL, BUT I BROUGHT THE SIDE WEDGE AND I EVEN TRY TO LAY HIM ON HIS SIDE. HE USE TO SLEEP ON HIS SIDE BUT SINCE HE EXPERIANCE THE STOMACH IT FEELS GOOD TO HIM. BUT I WILL TRY THE SLEEPWEDGE AGAIN ..THANKS

I know the doctors say to put the babies on their backs to sleep, but...I slept on my tummy as a baby, and I'm still here. Check this out: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000E262S/103-9016499-6036647?v=glance (remove all spaces and underscores)

Okay, it still added hyphens, which is a problem, because some of the hyphens are supposed to be there. Anyway, the name of the product is Angelcare Movement Sensor with Sound Monitor. It's $99.99 from Amazon.com

My son is sleeping on his belly right now.

CANDIE - October 26

KJL, HOW OLD IS YOUR BABY???

Rachael mommy2lucas - October 26

My son likes to sleep on his belly or his side the most. I believe in belly sleeping for babies if they prefer it. I slept on my tummy as well, and all the family babies. I just want him to sleep however he is most comfortable.

I HAVE A 14YEAR OLD AND WHEN HE WAS A BABY I PUT HIM ON HIS STOMACH, BUT WITH THIS SCARE OF SIDS AND THAT THE BABY HAVE TO BE ON HIS BACK IT IS MAKING ME PARANOID AND HE WILL BE 2 MONTHS ON TOMORROW

Candie, does your little one spit up a lot? My son has acid reflux and that tends to be worse when they are flat on their backs as opposed to on their tummies or on their backs on an upright angle.

CANDIE - October 26

YES HE DOES SPIT UP. I AM BREASTFEEDING BUT I GIVE HIM SUPPLEMENT OF FORMULA AND IT HAS TO BE WITH SOY BECAUSE HE WON'T TAKE THE REGULAR FORMULA. BUT THANK YOU FOR THE INFORMATION.:-)

my daughter rolls over on her own now and sleeps on her belly too.. but the DR just told me its ok if she can roll on her own. I used to catch her b4 she could roll really well on her tummy thru the night and would turn her over, i played that game for quite a while. Best of luck. I used a sleep positioner

I had the exact same problem, i have a 4 week old baby and he wakes himself up every 15 minutes if he's on his back.....my doctor told me to put him on his belly. i have an angelcare moniter and it takes away the scare of SIDS. it beeps when they don't move (breathe) for more then 20 seconds. it is the only way i'm getting any sleep at all....you have to do what works for you. good luck!!

Please!!! - November 16

Stop using CAPS! I don't like being screamed at!
