Costco Ruins The Best Baby Wipes On The Planet

After replacing their pamper made "Kirkland" diapers with some bead filled subst_tute, Costco now ruined the best baby wipes by replacing them with some "cotton enhanced" fall-apart-in-u-hands-piece o'c__p and will most likely go straight in to the trash..... so if you use them "Kirkland" wipes, run to your Costco and see if you can stock up with the old school stock that has pink and blue boxes. If the boxes are just blue it's too late!

Sad to hear the change BBK thanks for letting people know,I live in Canada and the real canadian superstore has teddy's choice name brand and they work fairly well to the old Kirkland diaper wipes, thought I would let everyone know, compared to huggies and pampers, and all the rest.

not sure if they have target where you live but target has great wipes and they sell them by bulk also.

Monica they do in Queens, but we don't go there as often and it's crowded, and I'd hate just make a trip for that.... but maybe I'll have to. Someone gave me a recipe to make homemade wipes with papertowels water baby wash and baby lotion... sounds easy. If anyone is interested, I'll post it.

Oh, and Lisa thanks for the tidbit. I've come to realize that Costco changes all their products often so one cannot get too attached to them.... I don't know whether teddy's choice does the same :-)

Teddy's choice has changed there products over the years I tried them along time ago in a fix and the were c___ppy now they are a bit stronger then pampers and huggies.

We get Parents Choice baby wipes from Walmart. They are cheap, unscented, and gentle. It's about $10 for a big box of 400. They are so useful. Just thought I would share some tips on a good product.

BBK~ I'm so glad you posted that, as I was debating on whether or not to buy the new kind. There old ones were the best, you're right. Whatever you do, don't buy the Pampers Original scented wipes. They smell awful. (might just be because i'm pregnant, I don't know) Target does make a good wipe that is very comparable to what Costco used to offer. Pampers wipes are pretty good too. We also tried the "Kirkland" brand diapers, they were c___p. There was a lady handing out samples of them one day and she told me they were made by Kimberly Clarke, the same people that make Huggies. After using them for 2 days I had had enough and returned them. Costco stands behind their products 100%, so consider taking whatever you have left and getting your money back. For the record, Sams Club sells Pampers for the same price that Costco did. :o)

I love the Target wipes too. The ones in the red and green box. Now for me the Target diapers are terrible. My son leaked everytime he wore one.

I also use the Costco brand wipes though when I'm at home I only use a wet washcloth instead of a wipe. Her little bum seems to like it too, she's only had one rash in her almost eight months and that was from a cloth diaper being left on too long by her stupid mother (me). It takes about 6 or 7 months to go through that big box that way too. I also noticed they stopped carrying Pampers diapers. I tried the Kirkland ones and they totally suck. I have the Huggies brand now and they seem to be pretty good so far though the Pampers are still better. Gotta go to my favourite place tomorrow to see if they still have my old wipes since I'm just about out now. :(

P.S. thanks for the heads-up BBK.

Momma walmarts are hard to come by around here, but I'll give their brand a try (online order) . Maybe they have the same manufacturer as the vintage kirklands...unless the "cotton industrial complex lobbyists" ruin them soon too. Tiffani, I tried to get some tips on who the real manufacturer of the old wipes was was by the friendly (but powerless) costco customer service but they didn't know. I'll try the homemade, the Target and Walmart even if we get them drop-shipped.... two days to go? I remember it when it was 105 days to go! Good luck! P, thanks for the info too!

This is just my opinion but the Walmart wipes kinda stink. They smell almost like a wet diaper to me. I prefer Huggies Supreme cocoa b___ter for Amaya. I have also heard that Pampers Spring Blossom smell really good. When we run out of wipes this time we will try them. My advice BBK: Stay away from Walmart Wipes, the diapers are ok but the wipes stink!

Well, I just made a batch of homemade ones this morning and I have to tell you BBK ® © are the BEST now.... and cheap too! I also have to adjust my rage with the Costco brand. After spending a day with them, they are not as bad as previously thought but now they are just ordinary.... Stephanie thanks for the warning, going to walmart is a big chore for us and I also found out that neither them or target sell consumables online.....anyway the homemade only take 5 minutes of labor and 2 tubes cost the same as a roll of bounty papertowels ;-)
