Hi,
My 3 week old daughter goes through 20-25 diapers a day and about 20 of those are BMs and not just wet. She is br___tfed during the day and gets supplement formula at night because she eats so much so is this normal? She eats about 4 oz of formula every 2 hours. Help :-)

Hi! My baby is on formula all of the time because of problems she had with b___stmilk, but she goes through about 15 diapers a day. She is eating 3 oz or formula every 3 hours. It is possible I guess that her stomach has expanded from the b___stmilk, and she just needs more to fill her up, also formula does not fill them up like b___stmilk does. I know it is frusterating because diapers are so expensive, especially for newborns! But since there are so many bms during the day you might want to check with her ped. the formula might be making her stomach upset, you could also try pumping, and mixing half formula with half b___stmilk.

Yes, my baby is also a piggy, and enjoys both b___stmilk and formula. I simply cannot keep up with his feeding demands. He is 2.5 months and he has been a hungry boy since birth. I no longer keep track of the diapers. I know that 25 seems like a lot but trust me, the poops will become more solid, and she will poop less frequently starting very soon. Our baby used to poop after every diaper change. It was frustrating but he must have been stimulated by the diaper change, and always
pooped after a BM.
