For those bottlefed infant, do you give them water? When do you start and how much?

Our pediatrician told me I could give my daughter (two months old) a couple of ounces of water a day if the formula was making her constipated. We use Enfamil Lipil which he said could cause constipation. I haven't needed to give her any water yet. With my older daughter, I didn't start giving her water until she was eating some solid foods, because I didn't want her to fill up on water and not drink her formula.
