I switched to a vegetarian diet and lost all my weight in 3 months. I decided to try it after I had tried everything else. A friend of a friend that I met said that it was the only thing that worked for her. Well It worked for me too, and now she is a very good friend of mine. She has really helped me make the transition. I am so happy and I don't miss meat at all. Here is a good place to get some recipes if you want to try it. http://www.vegsource.com/talk/recipes/index.html I just can't express how much happier I am now that I'm not carring around that extra 35 pounds!

I've heard that you could loos weight on a vegetarian diet. I've always been afraid to try it. You sound so happy, I think I might give it a try or at least try some of the recipies on that site. I'm just afraid I won't like the taste. I'll let you know.

with my first I lost all the weight plus more I was the thinnest I had ever been. With my second one its been 4 months I lost 25 lbs but gained 4...its going to be so much harder to lose weight this time around.I would like to lose 25 lbs... I hate the way I feel about my body right now. and I have so much cute clothes that might not ever fit me again.

I gained 37 pounds while pregnant. I lost 25 pounds the first week. My baby is now 3 months and I am finally fitting into my prepregnancy clothes. My jeans are b___toning up. Dont give it it is hard I now many days I felt like giving up and refuse. I bought a book to help me "Back in Shape" by Sally Lewis ISBN # 0-600-60650-3. It really helped. You can do it 4 weeks after giving birth. I can see definination in my abs and legs. Denise Austin and Billy Blanks are my company in the moring. It was really hard trying to fit in excercise I had to stop many times to tend to my baby. But I still finished my excerise. Even if it ment that a 45 min dvd lasted a hour and half.

Oh brestfeeding really helps as well. I would brestfeed before I excercise or pump milk.

I was lucky and was all bavy. Gained 22 lbs total. I lost it all by the time he was 6 weeks old and could wear my pre pregnancy clothes again by 3 weeks pp. Now I just have the leftover stretch mark flabby skin hanging around. I'm kinda lazy and do not work out, but Lucas doesn't let me sit around often!LOL! Hopefully I will get the extra energy and time to do something about it but for now I can use the excuse that I just had a baby.

I don't know if age has anything to do with it. I was 27 with my first and it was harder to lose it than this time around and I am now 30. I think if you eat right and exercise you'll lose it. I have been eating lots of fiber and veggies along with frosted mini wheats and have lost 3 lbs. this week. I now only have about 12 to go and it has been 6 wks. I gained a little over 40.

not sure Julie I am 29. I know a few ladies younger than me with older babies and they still have some of their extra pregnancy fat on them. I think a lot has to do with how you ate while pregnant and how active you were.

Well, A couple more pounds came off in the past few days, so that is good. I was pretty thin prior to pregnancy and I like me clothes fitted, so it'll be a while beofre I fit into those clothes again. What worries me is that I did not exercise regularly before and durning pregnancy, but I worked full-time as a physical therapist which kept me very active. Since I am not going back to work (at least not full-time) I need to find some activity that will keep me moving, especially in the winter months. Anyone have any good exercise tapes or programs that they use/like?

Christy - try pilates I have a Crunch pilates video that is called "Burn and Firm" it is very challenging. I did pilates after my first pregnancy and got back to normal. I was very thin as well and none of my pants fit I hope I can get back to normal soon!

I have used the same workout videos forever. A great one is Cindy Crawford Shape your body. I LOVE that one. I also use the power 90 set by beachbody.com. Last year (before baby) I was doing the videos and a treadmill on alternate days and I was looking awsome :o) I can't wait to start again.
