I was just wondering, how fast should we expect our little one to gain weight when she arrives? I think I read somewhere that the usual is about 1 - 1.5 pounds per month. Is everyone else finding this to be true also? Thanks

i dont think there is a standard wight gain my daughter gained exactly 1 pund in her first 2 weeks and she doubled in weight by her 2 month exam and at almost 6 months has nearly tripled her birth weight as long as the baby is helthy and not gaining an exxesive amount you should have to worry

My midwife told me that if they b___st feed, they out on an average of an ouce per day. They lose weight in the first few days though.

I read they were supposed to gain between 1 - 2 pounds a month. And at the doctors office, I read that they double their birth weight in a couple of months, and triple it within a year. (average) Every baby is different. My little guy is almost 3 months, and he has almost tripled his birth weight already!
