Just wondering what people have heard from their doctors about how long babies are affected by acid reflux? Mine is on medication and has to sleep in a "wedge" so I am anxious for it to be done with!

My doctors have said that it usually peaks at 3 or 4 months and is generally gone by 6 mos. My son is 2 mos and it has been a difficult road. But it will het better-eventually

Tahlia has BAD reflux. After EVERY feed she throws up sometimes just once, sometimes even up to 3 hours after a feed. She is almost 6 months and it is still as bad as when she was 6 days old. I've heard that once they can sit up alone it gets better, but when they start crawling it gets bad again, but once they are standing and walking it subsides... I just have a few towels on hand at all times (a few cloth diapers are ok too) and always have one on my shoulder when holding her. And I'll only take her out in public half an hour after a feed to reduce the risk of everyone being covered, excorsist style. Poor little thing! But she is the happiest baby! LOL
