Hi, I have a 6 year old but am thinking about enrolling my husband and myself in one of those infant care basics classes, he's never had a baby and I was just wondering if anybody has taken that and if it's useful or just more like stuff you'll learn along the way? Also what about the older sibling class, good for 6 year olds?

I have no experience with care cla__ses, but I didn't want you to think your question was being ignored. In my opinion, taking the cla__s can't hurt! But, you are probably going to find yourself overwhelmed with "helpful" advice as soon as your baby is here.

My husband and I have taken the cla__s and found it to be completely useless. But, I know lots of peoople who have taken it and thought it was great. They show you how to bathe your newborn, cut their nails, change a diaper, swaddle your baby, etc. I thought it was a waste of money cause I learned all these things from books, asking questions on this forum, my mom, and anyone who had a baby I just asked questions. Hope this helps.

They offer some cla__ses in the hospital after you have the baby, right? I never would have known how to bathe my son without that tutorial:) You could also get a DVD and watch it at home so you don't have to sit through cla__s questions.

I would have never known how to bathe my daughter also, however they usually show you at the hospital step by step, at least from where I from. Also, my mom helped/s me out so much. Do you have anyone to help you out?
