Instant Potatoes Ok For Baby

Hi everyone- I made some instant mashed potatoes with supper tonight and am wondering if I can give my son a spoonful or two. He's just getting the hang of solids and is SUPER interested in our food! The potatoes don't have any milk in them... Anyone know if this is ok?

My son eats them all the time. He has been eating them since he was like 5 months. As long as they aren't thick, they should be okay.
