Need Information Regarding Autism And Vaccinations

I dont believe these two are connected but I have a friend that does. Does anyone have any links regarding the two not being connected.

i'm not so sure they're connected - i haven't been convinced one way or another, but i do believe that some kids may suffer from mercury poisoning from all the mercury found in vaccines (or that used to be found) - mercury poisoning mimicks autism.

Some people also blame the mercury in dental fillings done during pregnancy.

All these posting shows no connection. Sometime ago a tv news have reported about a lady who's sone got autism after MMR. This post go me doing some research now and I found a few complaints. One of it is at http://www.whale.to/vaccine/media1.html... Now I'm worried if my child should be given MMR when the time comes. Any opinion?

Jolin, that is called anecdotal evidence, and it's certainly not wise to base your health care decisions on that. Despite all the media hoopla and sensationalist claims by litigators and activists, there is not a single *legitimate* study to connect MMR vaccines and Autism. MMR vaccines today contain no mercury either. Now of course keep in mind that anyone can have a bad reaction to the vaccine and the MMR vaccine has even been suspected of having a role in some encephalitis cases - less than one per million. So some risk is always there, just not the autism risk in this case.
