My baby is one week old and gets the hiccups at least once per day - not right after feedings, but usually around 15 minutes or so after eating (but that's probably because she's actually awake!). Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to avoid it or at least stop her from getting them so often - they seem to really agrivate her.

My daughter would get the hiccups alot when she was a couple weeks so I would just give her a little bit more formula and the sucking on the bottle would help her to stop hiccuping. Hope this helps.

Breastfeeding for a couple of minutes always did the trick with my daughter.
