OT Birth Recovery Question

Did anyone have sharp stabbing/throbbing pains a couple weeks after having the baby? I started having some last night, first in the #1 private spot and later #2 private spot. Tonight they started again, only first in my left upper leg and later in my right upper leg. However, now it's very low in my back, kind of my rear and hurts worse. Any idea what it is?

I had terrible lower back pains in the first 6 weeks after the birth. They got worse before they got better. They were so bad at one point, that even a 20 minute walk would leave me crippled for the rest of the day. It went away on it's own and quite suddenly too. I asked a nurse about it and she said it was normal and to do some gentle leg lifting exercises. To be honest, I don't think she knew what she was talking about, because the exercise made it worse! My back is fine now, but I still get sharp pains in my pubic bone, if I walk for too long. You should go to the Doctor, just to make sure its not due to infection or anything. Hopefully, you'll get better advice than I had! Good luck.

I had all sorts of aches and shooting pains, etc. that I was not expecting. It gets better, but sometimes it still aches down there and my son will be 4 mos old this week. I can still tell where my st_tches were too. The body takes a good beating being pregnant and giving birth! I think all the pains are normal. All of my muscles hurt after birth as well for hanging onto the bed rails so tightly, I did not have pain meds, and my legs were sore from having them pushed behind my head while pushing!LOL! It slowly gets better!
