I had my baby Aug 31 and had an episiotomy. I bled for about two weeks and now for the past 2 weeks I have had a weird discharge. It is sometimes a light brown, a green, a yellow green, or a pinkish color. It also sometimes has a fowl odor. Is this normal? Has anyone else experianced this?

sounds like normal lochia (the bleeding you have after giving birth). It is normal to almost stop bleeding and then start back up. Bleeding can last for about 6 weeks after birth. It also usuall tapers off to a brownish discharge.

I would suggest calling your Dr just in case. After a v____al delivery, you can get a bacterial infection and since you mention greenish yellow color and an odor, you may have one. If so, you just take an antibiotic for 6 days or so and it clears right up.

I agree with michelle. The foul odor and green color could be an infection. Have your doctor check you out asap. Take care S
