She smiled today...just one big grin, but there was no mistaking the way her entire face lit up! Unfortunately, I didn't have a camera handy, and I haven't been able to get a repeat performance out of her...8-( But, still, she smiled!!!

I think I remember that! It was about that time.... pretty soon she'll do it often and start giggling and cooing. My daughter is the most vocal when we change her, the moment we remove the wet diaper, she smiles and aaa-ghhhhs... I think she means "Finally you got it right, I was wet!" :-)

Sorry wasnt done with my post but Amaya hit Enter! Anyway, I remember when she smiled her first real smile. I melted all over! I love it and it only gets better, pretty soon you will have giggles and coos coming from behind those toothless grins! My favorite when she was that small was when she would smile in her sleep. My grandma always told me it was because Angels were talking to her. I thought it was sweet!

oooh, I trhink she likes it...so, she's been sleeping throughj the night for the last 2 weeks or so. Last night, she woke up at 3 am. I tried to nurse her, but she wasn't interested. Changed her diaper and she just grinned at me. Tried nursing again, still not interested. So, I laid her down to cuddle with her dad while I go to the bathroom...come back, her eyes are closed, yay, she's sleeping, right? Nope! Eyes pop open and the little prankster just grins and grins at me.I go to get a movie, and come back, eyes are closed again...but, no luck, she's playing possum one more time...and grinning like you wouldn't believe when she opens her eyes. We did this from 3:30 a.m. til 5:30 a.m. when Dad had to get up...then from 6 a.m. til 7:30 a.m. Lil brat...can almost hear her thinking 'haha, I fooled you, Mom! I have a new game!'

I know it so precious!! my daughter is 9 weeks now and smiles all the time everytime someone talks to her she grins and her little eyes light up.When we talk to her she tries to move her mouth and makes the cutest coos. All those little things that they do are so precious.
