Standing In Crib

My almost 8 month old recently learned how to stand up holding on to something so when I put him in the crib he is standing several times before I can get him to fall asleep...then last night he woke up standing at 3:30am and it took me until 5am to settle him again. Will this pass? Has it happened to anyone else?

OMG my son went through that phase about a month ago!!! It's just so cool to hear about other peoples babies doing the same stuff hehe. This will definitely pa__s! It took my son about two weeks to learn how to get back down, usually falling back and landing in a sitting position. I know your probably going through sleepless nights but it will pa__s, just give it time. In the day time, teach him how to fall back. Let him stand while holding on to something and get him to fall back and land on his bum. Good luck!! My son turned 1 today and he took his first 4 steps all by himself!!!! I've learned that praise is good too in teaching babies things so praise your son while you teach him to fall back on his bum!

When my kids started doing that...i would get up once in the night to make sure they were ok, and put the baby monitor on and thats it, i woudnt stay up hours on end to make him fall asleep. But we all have different opinions.you should try to let him be, my kids out grew that....but now that they are in toddlers beds....they do thta again LOL let it be. But i luck theirs doors so they dont run around the house un-supervised. Your son will be ok, just try it out.

My 8 month old is going through that right now. He just won't sleep through the night anymore. And in the daytime he tears everything off my shelves, tables, couch, and just about anything he can get his hands on. I hope it pa__ses, if not, Im in trouble :)

LOL, that was my kid, only he didn't stop after a while, he learned to JUMP! After a few weeks, that got boring too and he would just go to sleep again
