what is a good age to start your baby in a swing (on average)..i can't seem to remember at what age my others were in there.

Jamie - October 20

Started mine in a swing the day she came home from the hospital - about 5 days old.

About a week old. Our swing has 4 recline positions, that can be adjusted down to almost all-the-way flat for infant.

Amanda N - October 20

I did the same as Jamie.

I tried to put Kamrie in her swing early on but she refused! She would toss and turn and scream. She did not start enjoying her swing until she was around 6 weeks old. I still can not get her to sit in her bouncy chair.

with a little neck and head control whether insured by little pillows or self neck and head control I'd say anytime .

We have been trying since about 3 weeks old. He is seven weeks now and can't STAND it! He doesn't mind when I don't turn it on though... Must be like his father.... He gets motion sickness!

we bought one when she was 3 mths old, its a god saver when u need to do stuff in the house and she isnt in a good mood, the motion seems to be soothing to babies

karine - October 21

I haven't used mine yet. She's only 2 wks old on Tuesday but she never fusses enough and if she does it's cus she's ga__sy or hungry. I'm sure I'll have to break it out one of these days though!
