I plan to br___tfed but want to use these bottles as well. Can someone who uses these tell me the best way to warm these? I have read that bottle warmers don't work well with disposables and I can't imagine heating water up at 2 in the morning. I've read that running hot water over the bottle for 3 minutes or so works...can anyone who uses these help me out?

Running it under a tap is a waste of water. Just boil the kettle. It will take about 3 minutes anyway

Hi, we use the playtex disposables, and we use a measuring cup to warm the water then put it in the bottle, it takes like 15 seconds, and we have never had the problem with "hot spots", but that is with formula and water, so if you are going to b___stfeed, I recommend using the either boiling method or getting the bottle warmer for the soft liners. Hope it helps.

I know they recommend not to microwave due to hot spots but I have always used the playtex bottles (I bottlefeed) and I simply put the entire bottle for about 8 sec depending on the original temp of the liquid in the bottle. After that shake VERY well to get rid of any possible hot spots and your done. Warm for a few seconds at a time and check it, you can repeat as many times as you need just remember to always shake the bottle afterwards. My baby is 2.5 mos. old and we have never had any problems. If by any chance it would get a little to warm for your comfort, then just stick the bottle in a gla__s of cold water and that's it. Good luck! :)

Thanks for the input. I don't plan to use formula, I plan to pump some milk for a couple bottle so daddy can get up with him some too!! I've heard tons of good reviews of these bottles but was sitting here thinking, am I really going to feel like boiling water at 2 in the morning? I guess we will figure it out. Someone told me the liners are so thin, it only takes a couple minutes to warm anyway. I guess I'll find out soon enough! Thanks for the input!

I always would warm half of the water in a seperate cup in the microwave and then add the cold water to it and mix it up in the bottle well. I never had problems with hot spots. I think the biggest concern with hot spots is that people mix the water and formula, throw it in the microwave, take it out and just give it to there baby

Unfortunately u cant nuke b___stmilk, so your gonna have to do one of the other methods. I used these kind of bottles in the warmer--the only draw back is sometimes the water collects in the bottom of the ones that have the support cup thingy. And it didn't always heat through, you can have mine. I stopped using it because, I stopped heating bottles all together and just gave it to her room temp.
