I don't mean to be too graphic. I had my baby two weeks ago and things "in the land down under" seems soooo entirely stretched. The part where people get episiotomies seems stretched really far. It exposes things that should be further on the inside. Not too bad but still. Is this normal? If so, when will it go back to normal? Also I think the lady st_tched me up unevenly. This is freaking me out because I just want it too be normal again. If people don't mind, what kind of trauma have you suffered down there and how long did it take to recover from it? Any Input would be of help, thanks!

don't look anymore!!..lol, no, I looked awful, too. in fact I still don't look the same after 6 months. I remember I looked crooked where they st_tched me, and that is fine now. Also after only 2 weeks you are still swollen. It will get better. I try to do the Kegal excercises, that helps for sure. Don't worry, Kitty will be the new and improved.

I don't think I ever checked. I think you need to give it a little more time to heal. I think it took me about 8-10 weeks to be compleatly healed.

I got an episiotomy when I gave birth to my son a year ago. I haven't been the same, everytime my hubby and I have s_x, it seems to tear a small bit over and over again. My son was premature so I did deliver a small baby. I've been on birth control for a year and it seems to have made me tighter. The intial thrust that is...sorry for being graphic. Your body does need time to heal, give it a few months. Women were made to bear babies but sometimes there are battle wounds left...as I like to call them. I will never look or feel the same down there...I've come to accept it. I also have things exposed that should be more to the inside but thats because I pushed it out. No one really sees that except my hubby so I'm not too self conscious. Give yourself credit, you gave birth! hehe.

to scared-it really depends on your situation. With my first birth, I was swollen and gross looking after 1.5 hours of pushing. With #2, I had a quick labor and only a few pushes and I have not had any discomfort or swelling at all.

I never looked but I healed after 10 days. The st_tches were dissolved, I didn't hurt, and I quit bleeding. I took long warm baths at night, kept very clean down there, and every bathroom brake I used the squirt bottle of warm water to clean it, and kegel (sp?) exercises in free time. Oh and even though it was stretched, dont worry it goes back. Hope you get to feeling better.

It was about 7 weeks before I felt much better about that area. I wouldn't even look at it or touch it or think about it for weeks. But it eventually does all go back to normal.
