OK so I haven't had my baby yet, I'm 24 weeks pregnant but my husband will be leaving for Iraq when may baby is about 2-3 months old and I just want to know if he will probably be able to see her smile before he leaves. I'm not sure how old baby's usually are when they start to smile, but I really hope he gets to make her smile!

Yes Erin, don't worry, he will defintely see your baby smile. :) I think most babies are smiling by 6 weeks. My daughter began to smile at 4.5 weeks. She's 7 weeks now and smiles most of the time. It's so cute! Glad your hubby won't miss out on this important milestone. Best of luck to you! :)

Yes he will. At first when they're newborns they smile because they're usually ga__sing or filling their diaper. But I didn't care. They're still so cute!!! My daughter is almost four weeks old and if I tickle her ribs she'll smile, but otherwise she just does it when she's ga__sy. Sometimes when she eats and she's done she'll get this big grin on her face like she's in total heaven. Too precious!

My baby started smiling around 5 weeks. She's now 3 months old and smiles everytime I smile at her.
