Have you tried the nuby cups from walmart? They have a soft, clear spout with the valve built in. They're so much easier to clean than the kind with separate valves. They also make one that looks like a sport bottle, and the spout on it is really similar to a nipple on a bottle.

They've only had them a few months. My walmart has them in a bin next to the nuby cups. How old is your daughter? I've also seen gerber bottles designed to be used while the baby is sitting up.

It's been a few years since my first used bottles, but I remember sitting her up in her carseat to drink her bottle. It was sort of a compromise, because then she was reclined enough to drink it, but she still felt like she was sitting up. We didn't switch to cups until she turned 1...just didn't think of it...but she still uses those Nuby cups so that she can drink her milk in the living room or the car.

thanks for the input... ill have to try that cup i saw one online that was like a regular cup with special lid that didnt spill as much it might try that cup too (even though it said for toddlers) since she plays with big empty cups and holds them the right way to drink out of them thanks again
