I was told to use damp cloths by the nurse. I use wipes too but not too often. Wipes contains chemical, fragrance and other stuff that might irritate the baby's skin if used too much of it. I also forget to mention to dry off properly after wiping with damp cloth before putting on diaper.

Modern cloth diapers can rival any disposable on every level except cost and use of chemicals. They are super absorbent, leak proof, and can keep baby dry. They do not have chemicals, scratchy paper. They also allow air flow. What cloth diapers today don't have is millions of dollars invested in advertising to keep today's parents from throwing away their money.
