ok, i'm totally mystified. my 6 week old gags a lot. i'm br___tfeeding and not only will she gag on a pacifer, a bottle (when i pump) but sometimes even my nipple and sometimes for no apparent reason, when nothing is near her mouth at all. anyone have any idea why?

Some babies just have really good gag reflexes. My son really did as a newborn, and sometimes does now with his bottles. I have read that it is normal. It goes along with all the other newborn reflexes they come with!

She may be gagging on saliva or her tongue...I'd suggest using the suction bulb, and see if that helps any?
