How did everyones baby go when first introducing food. I can't tell with mine if she hates it due to the facial expression or if she is getting used to digesting it. She has rice cereal in the morning, a few teaspoons and i have introduced custard in the afternoon, they say no sweets first but its not as though she will never eat pureed vegies, guess i wanted to make the experience pleasant, any feedback would be appreciated

i started with rice and then the other cereals then veggies then friuts i was told by the dr and 2 cousnins with babies that are only a few motnths older to do it that way and it worked for my dd so maybe after the custard you could try green beans or peas i would definatly do sweet potaoes and carrots last though cuz they seem to be a little sweeter than the others (in my opion anyway)

The very first food I gave him to taste was carrots. He made this disgusting face and then started to gag and then cry a lot with anger. So I gave him sweet patotoe and he made a strange look but then would eat it. I started with rice then barley without any vegetable in it, just so that he gets used to that first. Then I would put the vegetable in the cereal and he doesn't complain no matter what I put in it. I guess because it does not have such as strong taste than if it was given separate. But he sure eats faster if its got fruit in it. So like us, sweet is better tasting.
