My son was born with a bunch of hair, but the funny thing is the crown of spikes that stand straight up. He is now 6 mos, and there is no sign of it ever laying flat. It is about 4 inches long on top which is the spiked stuff and the rest sort of lays down, but spikes after his bath. It is so funny, I'm sure people think I never comb it, but I do and as soon as it is dry up it goes!!!. Did anyone give their baby a teim yet?

My little sister had a mohawk when she was born. Even when it grew, it still stuck up. Since she was a girl, we just put it in a little ponytail and she looked like a Flinstones baby. If you're going to cut your son's hair, take some pictures first...think how cute it will be to show pictures of his wild hair when he's grown. They also make gel to use especially on kids' hair...I think it's made by L'oreal.

Oh, Kathryn, Nathan is absolutely lovely!! Wow, he really does have alot of hair, I can see why he needed a trim!! I don't have any pictures online, I don't know how to do that. What is piczo? when I tried piczo.com, I got a naked lady website!!!

My son was born with a bunch of hair also. He is almost 8 mths and has already had 2 cuts. It is still thick, long, curly and sticks straight up. For a cut it helps if the baby can sit up.

my son is 4.5 mths and i had his head shaved at the salon.. He's happier now that his hair doesn't get sticky in this heat.

i have a 3 year old daughter and her hair did the exact same thing, i could put baby oil on it and it would rise right back up. it was so funny her daddys hair did it to but after about 1 and 1/2 and it finally got long enough it laid down, but it was so cute. good luck

My daughters hair is the same way she is 2 1/2 mths. I just rub a little dot of baby lotion in my hands after she gets out of the bath and rub it in her hair when its still wet and that usually does the job. I love her little spikes though its just so adorable!
