I waited 8 weeks & it was OK, not painfull or anything, but I had a good labor with no tearing or anything. We also used some KY jelly & I think that helped.

Have I resumed s_x? yes!!! yes!!! yes!!!! I am sprung!! Right after my 6 weeks check-up my husband I resumed...it was a little uncomfortable for me because I tore during labor..but after 2 1/2 months, I was ready. It is really up to you. KY Jelly did nothing for me. Not sounding gross, but saliva works better than everything I've tried. I was also terrified the first time, but just try to relax.

I only waited three weeks. It was a little uncomfortable but it wasn't bad.

when i had my daughter i waited 3 1/2 weeks and i had an episiotomy. I didn't find it painful. With my two boys i didn't have any tears and i felt as if i could've resumed in about a week, however i waited for 5 weeks with both and neither were painful. I was just more so waiting for my flow to stop. oh and ky prolly will help

YOU ARE ALL LUCKY, I HAD AN EASY LABOR, I WAITED 6 WEEKS AND TRIED-IT REALLY! HURT, DIDN'T EVEN FINISH. WAITED A WEEK AND GOT SOME KY AND STILL HURT LIKE A RUG BURN ON THE INSIDE. AND EACH TIME GETS A LITTLE EASIER IM NOW 10 WEEKS POST BBY AND STILL DONT ENJOY IT AS MUCH AS BEFORE. STILL ACTUALLY MAKING EXCUSES NOT TO. WHICH IS NOT LIKE ME AT ALL. I HAD s_x ALL THE WAY UP TILL THE NIGHT BEFORE SHE WAS BORN!

I am 7.5 weeks postpartum, and I still haven't had s_x. I do miss it, and we even tried it once, but I couldn't get into it. I miss the closeness, but I'm afraid it'll hurt, I'm actually slightly scared of getting pregnant again so soon, despite owning a large pack of condoms. Another problem is, that although my husband still finds me attractive, I don't feel s_xy at all. He always goes straight for my b___bs, but at the moment I find that a complete turn off, because I feel like they belong to the baby now and have nothing to do with s_x. Anyone else feel like this? Apart from that, we're both usually too tired anyway. I wonder if we'll ever get back to normal. :(

As soon as the 6 week check up was done! Wasnt painful at all - we had tried earlier and it was so I was pleased that all was good by 6 weeks!

With my first son I waited until after my 6 wk checkup and it was a little uncomfortable and weird more than anything. I was still holding onto those last 20 lbs. and felt uncomfortable about that. After we got into it - it was fine. After that it probably took a few more times to get back to normal. I did have some tearing. I am 3 weeks pp this time and will wait until I get the OK from Dr. I still am sore now from tearing.

I've had two c-sections. I had s_x a week after the first, and three weeks after the second. Here's a little TMI of my own...I got my tubes tied after my second baby, and hubby and I are running around acting like teenagers again! I didn't realize how liberating it would be not worrying about birth control.
