is anyone else feeding their baby soy formula? I just started soy a few days ago cuz my 3 month old fussed, spit up, and cried at his bottles of br___t milk and regular formula. Now he is great, but I worry about his bowel movements now.

my baby is on soy. he is always constipated! ask your doc what to do if it happens to you. good luck!

I strongly advise against giving soy formula to your baby esp. if he is a boy. Do some research on it. Soy has properties that mimic estrogen and in high amounts can cause many problems in girls and boys, but esp. boys. I've read studies that say that boys may not develop their s_xual organs properly. seriously

I gave my baby soy b/c I thought he might be allergic to cow's milk. His poop changed entirely and reeked so badly we discontinued use. He is not allergic to cow's milk, thank goodness:)

yes, soy does contain phyto estrogen. But I know lots of people who use soy formula and have no trouble whatsoever with their s_xual organs. In reality, soy is better had has less risk than cow's milk. it does react differently in the bowels, though! :)
