Yes, I am from Winnipeg. We bought a house about 1/2hour outside of it though and all my city friends think I've moved to China!!! With this d__n snow, it might as well be Siberia!!! I hate snow!!!!! ..."IIIIIII'm dreeeeaming, of a palm-tree x-mas!....." I'm starting a new thread for "Rocker" mom's only!!!

I have told my husband how I felt, sometimes calmly and sometimes not...he doesn't listen. The longer you're married to a man, the less he listens, I think.

Come on Jbear.... you simply need to be more creative in YOUR communication. The longer WE are with men, the more we know what gets their attention. Shop more... Stop cleaning the house... don't cook anymore... hold out on s_x.... invite your mother over to live for a month! lol! That would work in MY house!

Oops I pressed the wrong b___ton. Anyway I totally understand your feeling. My husband is working two full time jobs too, and the worst thing is I can't even drive. The mall, Target and Ross is not a walking distance. So I can't really go out without my husband. My day out is only Friday which is his day off, and it's only for grocery. Sometimes we would go out for dinner/ to the mall. I don't really have family here in the US. I really feel bored and miss hanging out with my friends. I do wanna go back to work when my baby is older. In a meanwhile I am just trying to enjoy the moment I have with my baby. If you really can't stand it maybe you could discuss it with yr husband? Just wanna let you know that I symphatized:) cheer up

Monica, I'm all about dirty pool if neccessary, so, start off with mind b__wing s_x, and STOP before he, uh.. loses his motivation and say "now that I have your attention, I'm going back to work... Ok?" as if he'll say no! hee hee

I would try witholding s_x...but lately I'm more interested in it than he is. I realized today it's been six weeks...He doesn't notice if the house is messy, if there's no food he doesn't eat...The bad thing is, half the time we finish each other's sentences, I'll pick up the phone to call him and it starts ringing because he's calling me, we go Christmas shopping for each other and come home with identical cd's, movies, etc. I have a feeling he knows pretty well how I'm feeling, and that he is hearing what I'm saying, but he's ignoring all of it because he's happy with the way things are. In a way I think he likes having me dependent on him (which I am even when I'm working, but I don't know if he realizes that).

Isn't it funny how some men just feel the need to be the big providers! I believe it's because men see how strong we women really are while we give birth, and all the care we take of our babies afterwards... it makes them feel inferior... so, to measure up, they need to be the bread winners, because let's face it, if we won the lottery or simply made our own money... would we really NEED them?
