Tahlia's Mama - December 7

Hi, I'm also in Melbourne, if you don't mind me asking, where abouts? I'm in Albert Park. I haven't been on in ages, but I have a 7 month old girl, Tahlia Rain =)

Hi Tahlia's mum i am in footscray, my daughter is 6 months old, alycia. So are you a first time mum and how is it all going? I know what you mean, i read exercauser and various other things and think what on earth are they talking about hah.

Tahlia's Mama - December 7

Yeah, this is my first. Its going great now. The first few weeks were tough, but I know I'm not alone there!! Exersaucer is some contraption that babies sit in and can spin around and play etc. I know most of the girls are American on here, and when I was reading one of your responses, I knew straight away you were an Aussie. Its hard to translate everything sometimes, ha ha. How's all this rain we've been having? All the best with Alycia =)

Yeah its a good thing though as we do need it. So do you work or do you stay home with your daughter?

Tahlia's Mama - December 9

At the moment I'm staying home. I have until March off work, so then it'll just be a matter of going back or staying home (I'm enjoying not working WAY too much! lol) How about you? Is Alycia your first? How are you coping?

Generally 90 percent of the time she is brilliant. Puts herself to sleep, very placid, happy, she is such an easy baby to care for except for today, sleep time is a scandal, its burps, its this, i think it could have something to do with her usual fisher price toy needing batteries and i haven't had a chance to put them in, its on her cot and plays for ten mins prior to sleep. Her dad decided to also leave us 6 weeks ago but suprisingly i am doing okay. So how old are you being ur a first time mum and yes i am also a first time mum and i just turned 35. I used to work in childcare, now i have my own childcare hah. What did you do prior?

TahliasMama - December 10

OMG how are you coping? I'm sorry, that's awful!! I'm 26, and I was studying and managing a hotel before this (unplanned) little miracle.Tahlia is such a good baby, so smiley and friendly, but when its bed time she just screams at me, argh! I've tried everything, toys, music, putting her in our bed, but nothing works. But once she's down, she stays there about 10-12 hours (yay!).

Tahlia has a website (that I haven't updated in 2 months) if you wanna check it out www.tahliarain.piczo.com

I am doing okay somehow, better than what i was. I guess i am too busy to have the time to be sad, i am lucky with alycia, day time occasionally i may get a scandal but night time is wonderful. Lately though the only place she will move is in her cot and i often find her on her tummy, legs hanging out of the cot and she is about to cry, night time she is still, its day time she does all these tricks, yet laying on the floor she just kicks her legs and that is it hah. Have you done santa photos yet? I took her the other day, it was so special, i will go check out the website to have a look at your angel. So do you and your partner still get a baby free life sometimes? I used to leave alycia with my mum so we could still get time as a couple altho it didn't work it seems hah. Talk to you soon.

just to add - December 10

You know just to add i bought her this fisher price crib mirror toy thing, i have the brochure somewhere, i put it on and it really is amazing. Prior i would have to pat her, rock the cot altho its very heavy and now i put this on and know i have 10 mins grace before she may start hah, the only time she does start is if she hasnt burped or if she gets herself in a predicament, its just an idea and i know it made my life bliss cause i put it on, walk away and know the lights and music keep her calm

Just wanted to ask how does tahlia go with eating. Alycia will eat breakfast depending what mood she is in yet alot of the time that mouth stays firmly shut and i have to pop it in when she opens it and is unaware, i have given her some custard which she can take or leave, carrot which didnt go well, yoghurt also was not a fave, she is not long over the 6 mth mark, i see the health nurse tommorow, needle day unfortunately and will ask her too, the carrot wasn't pureed enuff and i think was too coarse for her, kinda sticking to the tin stuff for now altho i would rather natural stuff but the tin stuff is very fine and pureed, kinda worry cause food isn't very popular, talk to u later, have a great sunday

TahliasMama - December 11

Hey again, I got the whole Santa photo today.. she was such a good girl! Bless! The photo is on her website, right down the bottom on the main page. Feeding time is like a circus! Tahlia can't get enough of anything I put in front of her. She will eat ANYTHING! I started her with rice cereal mixed with milk and worked my way up from there. Tahlia's 6 month needles weren't as bad as the others, and now polio is not given orally anymore so no spitting it out! (lol). The sleeping thing still has me stumped! She used to be a great sleeper, but now every night is a compet_tion between me and her, but I always win, ha ha. We have the Fisher Price aquarium thiungo and she seems to like that, except it munches batteries like nothing else, argh! I think it might be teething? She still hasn't got any yet. Anyway, good luck with your 6 month whole check up thingy... Talk again soon xox

Hi Tahlia's mum. Do you ever have days where you have no time to yourself or is that a silly question. Alycia has had a couple of bad days, haven't been on the computer, have a friend i have to email also and i keep putting it off, you know how it goes. She has this horrible rash all over her, turns out its an allergy. Bought cream etc after being to the drs. Her dad was meant to come last nite, he has this habit of just not showing up or not calling, will have to have a chat to him, my wonderful partner of 4 yrs turned into an a__s, dunno what happened you know. Anyhow i saw the website, didn't see santa pics but i didn't get alot of time either, will go back again to see them. You are good having her christened already. I am yet to do that but have too soon as its getting crazy, i dont want her being two yrs old and having it happen haha. I see you follow the lions, to be polite i will only say i follow collingwood heh. Your daughter is a real cutie, love the photos by the way. The one of ur partner holding her at the start is a nice one, the bigger one, they are all nice. Today for eg, i tried to do some housework, the place is clean but i need to vac_m and dust majorly, i struggle to find the time to be honest as bad as it sounds, i attempted today and then madam wakes after half hr, she has been sleeping now past an hr so i am happy, i have dishes in the sink but decided just to relax, would u believe i live in a large 2 bedroom flat and am considering getting a cleaner, ppl say you are mad but honestly i dont get time to go over the place and dust, don't get me wrong i do it but not enuff hah. Being on my own too now makes a huge difference, once upon a time i even had him helping, he'd clean the bathroom etc, now its all me. Was thinking of getting one once just to treat myself, why not i think ... Never had a facial in my life, i know i need to treat myself to one of those, i think i am rambling hah, talk later
