This is my second child. My first was born 13 years ago. I am 2cm dilated and live 40 miles from hospital. How will I know it's time? With my last child I lost plug and 24hrs later had him.

I also am 2 cm dialated and nervously anticipating the arrivival of baby #1. I am 37 weeks- some spotting, having contractions, but unsure if its the real thing. I just started timing contractions so far about 8 min apart- I wonder when he'll come. Anyone with experiences?
