This is my first baby, my due date is in 3 days and I have just started to have contractions...... I have been at a 1cm for almost 3 weeks now and the baby still has not engaged. The doctor thinks that it is possible that the baby's head may be too large for my pelvis and this is the reason that he hasn't engaged yet. Doc wants me to come back Sat. to see if anything has changd and if not, will schedule me for a c-sec. So now I have to deal with these contractions for a few more days, they aren't terrible, but some are really painful. This happen to anyone else? Any chance that some miracle could happen and the baby will position himself before Sat.? I really don't want to have a c-sec.

if they do give you a c-section, you could always get an epidural. other than that there is really nothing you can do.

My baby never engaged, but I had him a day early with a natural labour and no pain meds, even first babies don't always drop before you go into labour (I didn't know this and was convinced he was going to be late because he hadn't dropped!)!

im 39 weeks today, and my bub has only dropped one stage. (apparantly there are like 4 or somthing) its getting really hard. cause my docs are telling me the opposites to what people on here are saying. we dont get internals til were overdue, most people go over there due date(alot here seem to go early), bub will drop around 38 weeks,(alot of people say there bub dropped at like 36 weeks and earlier) so im confused.
