your prolly just not feeling them....i'm only feeling a few but i am having them....i touch my stomach and when it tense up i know i'm having a contraction...i'm 4cm and 90% effaced....our labors will prolly be fast when we have them so we just need to wait for our water to break. be a lil active maybe it will help. how over due are you?

Amy don't worry about not feeling the contractions yet. Just keep open communication with your Dr. to ensure that baby is safe & healthy. With my 1st, I sat very comfortably on my Mom's sofa for approx 3 & 1/2 hrs while I experienced my 1st stage labour pains. Everyone had to beg me to go to the hospital because they were afraid I would deliver baby in the livingroom[haha] hey I was comfortable & I didn't want to move, can you blame me? :) Anywho, maybe you will be a lucky one too & also have an easy time. I was 4cm dilated for over 2 weeks before I had my baby. I learned being dilated doesn't predict when you will go into labor. Also, you may be having painless contractions. I ended up being induced and when they hooked me up I was having contractions on my own that I never really noticed. Good luck. The good news is you have part of the work down already. My total labor was only 2 hours. Hoping your goes fast, too.

I was due last thursday 12/29/05, and went to the OB to find I was only 2cm, and 30%effaced. I think every pain I get is a contraction. Everything hurts "down there" and I feel like he could drop out at any time. But still, not contractions. I have another appointment tomorrow and I hope something has changed, my body can't take this anymore. I hope I didn't stay at 2cm for a week!!! anyway, something has to happen, I'm starting to hate being pregnant!!!!
