Im now 40wks Im sure some of you have seen me popping up here and there, mostly in the how to induce forums :P Nothing has worked obviously and my Doc has just told me he thinks I may be over due (like 42wks instead) yet he wants to wait it out since I and the baby seem fine. Im so anxious I can barely deal. I have a 13mo old daughter and she needs me to be the best I can be despite pain, fatigue and just plain frustration. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can help myself chill out. Im sick of trying to induce, it doesn't do anything but upset me :(

Erin, I know how you feel... Im only 38 weeks and 4 days but my doctor is going to induce me at 40 weeks! and i am trying so hard to naturaly induce.. I tried that gross brown sugar drink, walking, nipple stimulation... nothing works! what all did you try?

You name it :P Ive tried nipple stimulation, walking, drinking raspberry leaf tea, castor oil, the brown sugar drink, s_x, pinapple, yoga... the list goes on. Ive gotten nowhere and am really at the end of my rope. I know I should just relax but its so much easier said then done

Would you feel okay getting out of the house and shopping? Even if it's just looking around. It should (hopefully) do two things for you. Allow you to think about something else for a little while and get some exercise that may put serious pressure on the cervix to start contractions. I know it's getting on your nerves to have to wait, but you have to hang in there. The stress you feel, the baby will start to feel.
