Your belly gets a little tighter when your baby drops. Plus you can tell by looking at it that it has dropped. The position I'm not really sure how to tell you I would say just ask your doctor and tell her that you want a clear answer because your worried and as a parent you have the right to know if your baby is breech or how he/she is laying. The only way to sort of tell for yourself is to just kind of feel for the feet and go from there. Hope that helps!

For me I could tell when my baby was in breech, verified by many u/s's he was breech, but when I half sit up my tummy muscles go into the oval shape (which is baby). Also when he sneezes I feel it way down in my pelvis. About dropping one morning not too long ago I was huge and high and later that night I could tell that the baby dropped as my tummy wasent as big and was low low down. I was 29 1/2 weeks measuring 34 and at my 30 1/2 week visit (after the baby dropped) my tummy was 29 1/2 weeks, 1 week behind! it might also be low amnio levels but I find it much easier to walk and to breath, signs of a dropped baby. You should be able to tell if the baby dropped if you lisen to your body, take care.
