I threw up on my husband. I felt like I had low blood sugar and kept telling them that I had to eat. They finally brought me a popsicle. I had about two sucks, puked, then felt 100% better, in the tummy at least, contractions still sucked : )

I have a rediculous fear of vomit. I don't care if I throw up (although I never do), but if anyone else does I have a horrible panic attack, it is so stupid! It runs in my family though, there are 4 of us with this fear, a psyhcologist told us he has never heard of such a thing! It started when I was very little, I can remember it as far back as kindergarten. I am getting better about it as I get older, though. I know I am going to have to get over it completely before I have a baby, I am sure I will see a ton of vomit as a mother!

Yes, unfrotunatly a lot of babies vomit a lot. I remember with my first having cleaned the whole house, mopped the floor and everything. I was holding her in the dining room and she puked all over the floor. I just sat down on the floor, still holding her, and bawled. My husband thought I was nuts!

Many women vomit during transition. It's perfectly normal, and some say it aides in dilation. I did with both of mine, and it was miserable, but something that you have no control over.

You are mistaken. Lots of women throw up before they are even given any medications. I did, and had no medicines.

I vomited just before delivery and right after. I am pregnant with my third daughter. Trust me the last thing you care about is vomiting. I did not even realize it had happened until after all the drama was over and I had a chance to reflect on my labor and delivery.

I am getting ready to have my first child. My daughter (20) is asking the same questions. With her, I did throw up, it helped! It made me complete thin out and then I was able to push her out. With my sons (16 and 15) deliveries, they went smoothly, but with my last delivery (girl - 9 yrs ago) it went the same way as her older sisters' went. Good Luck to you all!

I threw up when I was about 4 cm dilated but before the epidural. The strange part of it was, I didn't really feel nauseus until RIGHT before I threw up. It all happened in a matter of about 1 minute. Nauseus, then puke, then feel fine...It's one of those things that if its gonna happen, it's gonna happen. Trust me though, the labor part hurts enough that it makes throwing up seems like small stuff at that point.
