Getting A Specific Doctor To Deliver

I am going to a group practice and really don't want one of the doctors to deliver. He has a terrible bedside manner and I don't think I would be comfortable with him delivering my baby. I have delivered with two other doctors at this practice and one of them has left. How do I go about telling them that I specifically do not want this one doctor to deliver. I don't want a mark on my chart because I still may have to see him for weekly checkups. I have an appointment next week with the doctor who delivered my son. I would like to discuss this with him. How should I bring this up? Any suggestions would be helpful.

You may not have a choice if it is a group practice. They rotate their schedule for when they are on call. I go to a group practice and don't like one of the doctors there either. I got lucky and she didn't deliver my son but I don't think that during labor I would really care who delivered. I just wanted him out!!

You probably won't have a choice. They are on a rotation and if you go into labor when he is on call, you'll get him. The fortunate thing is that they aren't there very much. They just come in at the end and catch the baby in most cases. It's far more important what kind of nurse you get.
