Hi this may be a bit awkward but Im gonna ask.
Does anyone suffer from herpes?
I do and Im 40 wks and 3 days and now might be looking at having a C-sec.
I'm gutted!
Does anyone have an experience of this?
Apparently the baby is open for serious infection if I have a va___al birth.
Any help or advice much appreciated!

forgot to say that I havent had an outbreak in 3 years and now I have it, just came 2 days ago because im not sleeping well....

If you have an outbreak you MUST have a C-section. Your doctor should NOT wait ANY longer. You could go into labor at anytime and it could be very dangerous for your baby to go through v____al ca___l. A c-section is safe and will protect your baby from contracting herpes. It is much deifferent from what you suffer from and often fatal. Google "neonatal herpes" if you don't know about it. But really you shouldn't wait any longer you should be in the hospital having a c-section. That is how I delivered, it simply is not worth the risk. Good luck!
