I am currently 36 weeks pregnant and i was just released yesterday morning i had contractions every 3 mins when i came in and dialated another 1 1/2 centimeters in 1 day. so now im 4 CM and very sick/tired. I started feeling nausiated earlier and now im having tummy pains. They told me to wait until the pains were severe to come in .. i dont know what is severe to them tho. Im scared i will dialate too far and not get my epidural! help!!

I would call your doctor and let them now what is going on.

I thought at 4cm you could get your epidural. I would call my doctor and find out what is going on. If you plan on using pain relief then I would think at this point you shouldn't have to suffer. Severe to one person may not be that bad to another. I would go back and refuse to leave. Tell them your pain is severe and you want your epidural, that's what I would do. Good luck to you and you baby. Hope all goes well for you

severe means not being able to walk or talk during contractions. if you were in active labor you would porbably not be posting. your tummy will get so tight it feels like the skin on your forhead. wether you want the epidural or not, going in and refusing to leave is a good way to end up with alot more intervention than you bargined for. i'd wait it out. 36weeks is still on the early side, you could have another few weeks to go.
