How Long After You Cervix Gets Soft

last week my doctors said my cervix was very thick and hard this week she said it is very soft i am almost 38 weeks...does anyone have any stories about how they went into labor soon after getting soft lol

Well, sorry to be a bearer of bad news, but I've been 3 cm since week 28. And as of week 32 50% effaced, but here I am still at week 35...hope it goes quicker for you!!! But seeing as you're 38 weeks it probably won't be long!
