Is My Amniotic Sake Leaking

I have 39+ weeks and last night woke up with a good bit of cramping or maybe small contractions that have been on and off all night. Nothing consistent, but I also woke up with my shorts wet, not soaked twice last night. It didn't smell like pee and it isn't a constant stream. It is clear also. Has this happened to anyone and should I be alarmed??? I heard that if you are lying down in bed it should be more of a gush, but I know everyone is different.

No, it doesn't have to gush. It can leak, even if you're lying down. Is the hospital close to you? I would just run in and get the litmus test just to be sure. Or see if your doctor's office will do it. Better to just be on the safe side. Maybe this is it!! Good luck!

Mine came in trickles in early labor. I'd put a call in to your doctor/hospital. If it really is amniotic fluid, they will want to know- they (at least at my doctor) wanted to know b/c they didn't want me to go 24 hours or more with leaking fluid because of risk of infection.
