TaDa...looks like the full moon did its job! I went into labor about 3:00am on the 6th, went to the hospital and got checked in at 6:30am and out she came at 9:52am...I guess I'm one lucky duck. Though the contractions barely had a break between each other and thankfully I had enough time to get an epidural...don't know how you women go natural..lol! As soon as the epidural was in place, the pain subsided, but there was an amazing urge to push. I told my nurse and she checked me and I guess I had a "bulging" bag of waters and that I was fully dilated, so within one hour I went from 5cm and 70% to full blown baby having time. Then my doctor wasn't ready for me, so they told me they would break my water as soon as she was out of delivery and that as soon as they did that, McKaela would be ready to pop out. Well 45 minutes later and no doctor still, I'm having contractions on top of each other, and an even stronger urge to push, if that was even possible. My husband is almost asleep next to me on the recliner (he works midnights) and I reach down, because I feel like something is wanting out real bad....and I feel something round and rather hard coming out of me...so I totally freak out...and do a whisper/yell..."Ben!! Ben!!! I think the baby's head is trying to come out!" So he comes over and takes a peek up my sheet...and all I see is his eyes widen...and then he looks at me and says, "Somethings trying to come out all right...I'll get the nurse". So the nurse comes in and luckily it was only my bag of waters, but the baby's head was pretty much right behind it. They call in the high risk doctor who's actually rather excited to be part of a normal delivery, and not even 20 minutes later I have a beautiful baby girl laying on my tummy...YAY!!! So she was wide eyed and had hair...my other little girl was bald...6 lbs. 12 oz and 18 3/4 inches long! Now if only I could get some sleep between my older daughter, her and br___t feeding...lol!
