Is there other ways to get pain killers rather than the epidural because i am terrified of having a needle put and being left in my back i would rather not have a pain killer but then again i dont want to have an ivy put in me so i guess it is impossible.. ladies i apperciate all your help

In my childbirth cla__ses my teacher said at our hospitak you can have an epidural which numbs the pain or you can get a narcotic, it is a shot but its not like the epidural, it doesnt really block the pain like that, supposedly it makes you change your perception of the pain. This may be a better choice for you if your freaked out about the epidural.
