i know this is a pretty dumb question considering this is not my 1st child, but i never had my waters break naturally.i was just wondering if when they do break is it during a contraction?do you feel pressure or anything?or is it just a big surprise and just runs out with no warning at all?

With me it was a big surprise. It didn't seem like I'd ever go into labor, no signs at all it was close.

I squatted down to pull a weed in the back yard and felt an internal popping sensation. The next thing was a huge gush of hot liquid down my legs... pretty gross feeling! I had no contractions, no warning, just "pop". With my other 2 births, my water was broken in the hospital while laying down... I much prefer that!

I was lying in bed not fully asleep. Needed to go to the bathroom, but just laid there relaxing for a second. Hear a pop. Thought it was the window/blind hitting the wall. Felt between my legs, nothing. Got up to go pee and felt something warm running down my legs. No pressure like you're peeing or anything, just warm fluid. I didn't feel the pop, just hear it. It was like a very small balloon popping. Hope this helps.
