Sex After Having Baby

I had my baby on August 8th and only waited a week to have s_x. Is it true that you are the most fertile after having a baby? I go back to the doctor tomorrow and am worried that he will tell me that I am pregnant again.

Oh my god , you are a walking time bomb at this stage. I gave birth on aug 18th to a beautiful baby boy brody which i lost at 30 weeks due to abruptio placenta. And i will be trying as soon as possible the doctor states to wait for your six week check up. did you use protection? because if you did not you could be and most likely are pregnant. your body still thinks you are because nothing has healed or went back in to place yet. I would definatley try a pregnancy test.....good luck and god bless you and your little one...

I waited a whole week and a half. No protection. And I did not get pregnant. In fact I did it several times before my 6 wk check up and birth control and never got pregnant. But be careful not everyone is like me. You are supposed to be the most fertile all the way to 6 months after having a baby, I think thats how long? Let us know if you are. Be careful.

There is no way you can get pregnant that soon. It is not physically possible.

We waited 3 weeks and we were so use to not using anything and completely forgot to withdrawl and I tested 2 weeks later and I was not pregnant.I got my tubes tied after that.

OH MY GOD. I hurt SO MUCH after the birth of my child, when we did finally resume s_x at 6 weeks post-partum, I cried. It just HURT. The odds that you ovulated a week after having your child are VERY SLIM. I b___stfed, so didn't resume regular periods until she was 8 months old, but a friend of mine did not, and she got her period 4 months later.. it took her body that long to recover from carrying a child. I would be SHOCKED if you were pregnant again.

I thought I would share this and I had the nurse herself tell me so if anyone does not believe it don't bash me. She told me after this woman had her baby and everyone left the room and when they came back in,the husband was trying to get him some after she just gave birth. Can you belive that? I would have knocked the c___p out of my husband.

You are more likely to get pregnant again within the first 6 weeks, doesnt mean you are going to, but the chances are higher than if you didnt just have a baby. But I was also surprised to hear that you were bumpin and groovin soo soon after lol, it took me at least 6 months to resume but then again I was really messed up down there if you know what I mean... lol

Oh and I wanted to just add one more thing, it is very possible, my son's great grandmother had 10 children, 9 births (1 set of twins) and all of her kids are a little less than a year apart, and the wierd thing is, the oldest and the youngest have the exact same birthday ( month and day) lol

HI, I have a 3 week old baby girl and my midwife told me that you can get pregnant 2 weeks after giving birth ! I personnely won't be having s_x for a while as I had a bad tear and cut during labour - that thought of it scares me to death !
